More than 14 “members” of the Duffy & Sweeney team — including attorneys, support staff, their families and one dog — turned out for the Amos House “Get Gored For Good” event on Sunday, April 26th in downtown Providence.
Led by attorney Rachelle Green, the D&S team raised over $1,700 at the two-mile walk/run. Participant Robert Duffy, the firm’s co-founding shareholder, is a board member of Amos House. “Get Gored For Good” is the annual festival-fundraiser for Amos House based on the world famous Pamplona “Running of The Bulls.”
Amos House provides support for men, women and children through food, shelter and social service programs in Rhode Island for those who are hungry, homeless and in crisis. The organization provides the tools people need to attain greater sufficiency and self-reliance in their lives. Although originally founded to serve homeless individuals, over the years it has become a life-line for many poor men, women and children struggling to stay afloat.
