- A D&S construction client was sued by a subcontractor for over $400K allegedly due for work performed. The D&S team presented counterclaims that outlined how the subcontractor failed to complete the contract work and, as a result, the construction company incurred substantial back charges. Arbitration resulted in a substantial net award to our client plus all attorneys’ fees.
- In a dispute involving a general contractor’s termination of a subcontractor, the D&S team successfully defended the general contractor and prosecuted the client’s claim for its costs to repair and complete the subcontrator’s work. After a five-day arbitration, a net award issued in favor of the client which included an award of attorneys’ fees. D&S attorneys also prevailed in having the award affirmed after the subcontractor appealed to the Rhode Island Superior Court.
