Patent Trolls – When the Hunter Becomes the Hunted! December 10th

Patent trolls use patents to bully companies of all sizes, draining the economy of $80 billion every year. Unlike legitimate inventors, these trolls do not innovate but rather buy patents solely to extort royalty payments under threat of costly litigation. While the largest tech companies are the most frequent targets, small business has increasingly come under attack. In fact, a recent study found 1 in 3 startups have received threats from patent trolls.
